Stockholm Extreme
Team Reetard was founded at the beginning of 2012 when Joakim and Carl decided to try a few multisport competitions. Joakim has a background as a martial artist and Carl from kart racing, so this will be a completely different challenge for the two of them. Together with their friends Jesper and Richard they decided that this summer’s most challenging race would be Stockholm Extreme.

We are happy to announce that the start and finish of Stockholm Extreme will be at "Medborgarplatsen" in the heart of Stockholm. The race will start with a number of short loops where the teams return to the startarea after each loop so it will be very easy for spectators to follow the first hours of the race.

The 3rd edition of Stockholm Extreme will be held in the heart of and in the forests and archipelago around Stockholm, 10th-11th August.
The race course will cover about 150km and teams will travel through the city, the forests and in the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm. The first team to cross the finish line will win a price cheque for 10.000 SEK, along with the knowledge that they're one of the strongest Adventure Racing teams in the world. With four teams in the top 6 of the 2011 World Championships, Sweden has proven itself to be a top nation. All the Swedish teams will be fighting hard to win on home soil.
Good navigational skills are essential for all teams. Even though the Scandinavian summer nights are short, they are dark in August. You'll need to be prepared for navigation using only light of your headlamps. The race will include running, kayaking, mountain biking, coasteering and spectacular rope work.
